Capri Drive-In
Capri Drive-In Trivia
The design of the Capri was based on the Holiday Drive-In in Trenton, MI. The folks there were personal friends of John Magocs Sr., who built the Capri in 1964.

There was another Drive-In Theatre in Coldwater at the time the Capri was built. It was called the Coldwater Drive-In, and it was located on 241 S US-27 just south of town. It closed in 1965.

The second screen at the Capri, added in 1986, was once used at an unknown Detroit-area drive-in.

There was a plan to add a small, 2 screen indoor theatre to the front of the Capri lot, just behind the marquee. The plan was abandoned soon after construction began.

John Magocs Sr., the original owner of the Capri, worked at and installed sound systems in numerous theatres all over the state.
